Lighthouse Shelter of Montrose, Colorado, is dedicated to providing a safe space for shelter and support to those in need with food and basic services for unhoused individuals. The Lighthouse provides emergency shelter and warm meals for community members who are experiencing homelessness in Montrose. This winter, we have been averaging around 22 people a night. Homelessness is a complex issue, and unfortunately, the numbers are growing nationwide. When basic survival needs are met, the chances of accessing services and solutions grows exponentially.
