Our goal is to improve health equity by saving lives and respecting each person as a valuable human being. At Montrose Lighthouse, Inc., we provide the following;
- Transportation to and from The Shepherd’s Hand to the Montrose Lighthouse Shelter
- Overnight, safe and warm sleeping accommodations for 28 guests
- A hot meal nightly Monday through Friday, and a brown bag breakfast on Saturdays
- Laundry, showers and Wi-Fi
- New this year we are excited to accommodate up to 5 guests with qualified pets
Now a program under The Sheperd’s Hand, we additionally offer the following services to our guests;
- One on one support for each guest by a qualified case worker
- Emotional support
- Help securing permanent housing
- Provide support for life skills, education and job opportunities
- Breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday
- Medical and substance abuse assistance
- Spiritual guidance
We collaborate with like-minded organizations, participate in City of Montrose meetings, partner with local churches, and other services that enrich the lives of the local homeless population.
