At The Lighthouse Shelter, we offer safe, overnight accommodations for individuals experiencing homelessness, complete with hot meals, beverages, showers, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi access.
Transportation to and from the shelter is provided daily from Montrose, and each guest receives personalized support from a qualified caseworker.
As the winter season ends, we work closely with guests to develop long-term solutions—whether that means placement in rehabilitation programs, assisted living facilities, relocation to other communities, or reunification with family.
While not everyone will have an immediate path forward, we remain committed to offering ongoing support and advocacy.
The Lighthouse collaborates with local organizations, participates in the City of Montrose meetings and Solutions for the Unhoused, and partners with churches and service providers to connect individuals with permanent housing, counseling, education, medical care, and substance abuse treatment.
Our mission is to foster dignity, stability, and health equity—because every life matters, and every person deserves a safe place to begin again.
What’s next?
We will be working with our local municipalities and all other viable sources to secure a
year-round facility that can provide additional overnight accommodation plus
counselling, education opportunities, medical and substance abuse assistance and
other services that enrich the lives of the local homeless population.
